SCHWABBIAN APPLE TORTE

Ingredients

  • 5 medium apples, peeled cured and quartered (Jazz apples are great for this dish)
  • 10 oz Chobani plain Greek yogurt (or another non-sour thick yogurt)
  • 3 eggs
  • 100ml cream
  • 1 tbsp. Cornstarch
  • 3-4 oz sugar

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 325F.
  2. Spray an 8” springform pan with Pam. Arrange the apples at the bottom.
  3. Mix well all ingredients except for apples. Pour over apples.
  4. Bake roughly 60 minutes or until firm.

This recipe is typically the filling of a tart, so it has a crust. I prefer this purer form. You can simply make your favorite pie crust recipe and pour the filling into it.
